Position: Software Engineering Team Lead

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Software Project Team Leader to oversee and guide our software development team. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership, and project management skills to ensure timely delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Laravel, Vue.js, MySQL, and Agile project management using JIRA.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Guide the team in making architectural decisions and selecting appropriate frameworks.
• Establish and enforce coding standards and best practices.
• Perform regular code reviews to ensure reliability, maintainability, and high-quality software.
Project Management
• Own and oversee the complete software development lifecycle, from requirement gathering and analysis to final delivery.
• Manage projects using Agile methodology (JIRA) to track progress, prioritize tasks, and ensure deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Drive continuous improvements in delivery speed, code quality, and overall efficiency.
Team Management & Mentoring
• Define clear objectives and KPIs for the development team.
• Foster a collaborative, positive, and high-performance culture.
• Mentor and coach team members, conducting regular performance reviews and supporting professional growth.
Collaboration & Communication
• Partner with product owners, business teams, and stakeholders to align roadmaps and requirements.
• Translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly communication for non-technical stakeholders and clients.
• Serve as a bridge between technical and business teams to ensure alignment.
Risk Management
• Identify and assess potential technical, operational, and project risks.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Talent Development
• Support the recruitment, onboarding, and development of top engineering talent.
• Help scale and strengthen the software engineering team by building strong capabilities.
Metrics & Reporting
• Develop, implement, and track key performance metrics (e.g., team velocity, defect rates, deployment frequency).
• Report progress, risks, and performance insights to senior management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise
• Strong experience in Laravel, Vue.js, MySQL, and related modern frameworks.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, scalable architecture, and system optimization.
• Experience with Agile methodology and project tracking tools (JIRA).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) and DevOps practices.

• Proven experience leading and mentoring software development teams.
• Ability to set clear goals, drive accountability, and foster collaboration.
Communication Skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
