Network Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, manage, and support secure and reliable enterprise or industrial network environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, network security, and high-availability architectures, ensuring optimal performance and resilience of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, monitor, and maintain enterprise and/or industrial network infrastructure
Manage and support Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, including VLANs, routing, switching, and IP addressing
Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers
Ensure network security through best practices, access control, and cybersecurity measures
Implement and support network redundancy, failover, and high-availability solutions
Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity, latency, and availability issues
Perform network upgrades, patching, and capacity planning
Collaborate with system administrators, security teams, and application teams
Maintain network diagrams, configurations, and technical documentation
Support incident response, root cause analysis, and preventive measures

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise or industrial network management
Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, including VLANs, routing, and switching
Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers
Solid understanding of network redundancy, failover mechanisms, and cybersecurity principles

Preferred Certifications

CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking certifications

Technical Skills

TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP
Network security and firewall technologies
VPN technologies (site-to-site and remote access)
High availability and redundancy protocols
Experience with monitoring and network management tools

Ability to work independently and in team-based environments
Good communication and documentation skills
Ability to work under pressure in mission-critical environments
